Assumption Taizé Pilgrimage for Young Adults

An opportunity to participate in the European Taizé Meeting in Paris from 28 Dec 2025 to 1 Jan 2026. Our group of Assumption Sisters, Assumptionist Fathers and friends will join thousands of young people from across Europe for prayer, reflection and community – deepening our faith and hope together in the heart of Paris. Experience the beauty of Taizé prayer with meditative chants, scripture readings and silence.

The Taizé community is an ecumenical monastic order with a strong devotion to peace and justice through prayer and meditation, located in a small village in Burgundy, France. The Taizé European Meeting is a “Pilgrimage of trust on Earth,” to encourage young people to build trust, peace, and reconciliation in the world through prayer, simple living, and community engagement. Invited by the Archbishop of Paris and local Churches of various denominations, thousands of young people from across Europe (aged 18 to 35) will gather for prayer, sharing, celebration, and friendship.

Activities:

Morning: Program in local churches with talks and group activities.
Noon: prayers open to all in the city’s major churches.
Afternoon: Workshops (solidarity, ecology, culture, spirituality).
Evening: prayer together in the city centre, then return to host families
Celebrating New Year in Paris!

Accommodation:

As guests of local families in Paris or shared accommodation parish halls / schools.
Bring a sleeping bag and mat.

Travel:

By Eurostar train from London to Paris in the morning of December 28, 2025, and return on the evening of January 01, 2026.
