The San Carpoforo Institute of Como, in northern Italy, was founded in 1923 as a centre of French culture and a nursery school. The Religious of the Assumption arrived in Como in 1968. Today, we carry out our educational mission in the bilingual school, which welcomes children from kindergarten to secondary school. We collaborate with lay teachers in running the school and teaching, in the spirit of the Assumption.

Our student hostel, the Marianum was founded in 1953. From the very beginning, we have animated and supported the educational project of the hostel, which includes community life, prayer and service. We collaborate with the chaplaincy of the universities of Padua.

Our community was founded in 1951 in a suburban neighbourhood of Rome, to serve the poor people in the locality. The Community started a small medical clinic and a school. Today we are a community of elderly sisters and continue to serve the neighbourhood with a prayerful presence and our open chapel with adoration.
