Christmas is not only a memory; it is a living experience: God entering into what is small, ordinary, and fragile, to renew everything from within.
This chapter by our sister Rekha Chennattu, our Superior General, invites us to return to the manger with the shepherds, to listen to the joy that overcomes fear, and to allow ourselves to be transformed by the peace that comes from God-with-us.
In the Gospel we find ordinary people – Mary, Joseph and the shepherds – facing ordinary hardships: a long journey, crowded towns, no room at the inn, and the quiet work of daily living. Nothing in their circumstances suggested glory or promise. And yet, it is within such simplicity, poverty, and human limitation that God chooses to break into our world, bringing renewal and new life.
