On 16th July, the General Chapter of the Religious of the Assumption elected sister Rekha Chennattu, from India, as the Superior General of the congregation, for a second six-year mandate. According to the tradition of the congregation, the archbishop of Paris, Laurent Ulrich celebrated and attended the election.
On 18th July, the new General Council was also elected, it includes: Sr Sandra Duran from El Salvador, Sr. Lerma Pangantihon from the Philippines, Sr. Marthe Ntuyumwe from Rwanda, and Sr. Françoise Martin from France. Congratulations! We pray for you all and look forward to your visit to England!
