The World Apostolic Congress on Mercy (WACOM 6) is a major international Catholic gathering centred on the message and devotion of Divine Mercy — an invitation to experience and share God’s merciful love in the world. This event takes place Vilnius, Lithuania — often called the City of Mercy due to its deep historical connection with the Divine Mercy devotion.
WACOM is a global Catholic congress held every three years that draws thousands of pilgrims, clergy, and lay faithful from around the world. Its core purpose is to help participants encounter Jesus’ Divine Mercy — God’s compassionate love, forgiveness, and healing for individuals and for the world — and to inspire them to live out mercy in their daily lives.
The overarching theme of WACOM 6 is “Building a City of Mercy”. This isn’t meant literally as bricks and buildings, but rather as a call for mercy to become a lived reality — in families, communities, workplaces, and the wider society. Attendees are invited to become “living stones” of mercy, embodying compassion, forgiveness, and love in everyday life.
